All of the 3 people were members of the gymnastics team at Jin-Hu Elementary School and have been practicing gymnastics since then. Their coach is Liang Ping. She made an analysis of the characteristics of the 3 gymnasts. According to her, Lai Jin was not born with excellent conditions in doing gymnastics but she is hardworking, diligent in practice and extremely self-demanding. As for her daughter Huang Zih-Sing, she is quite talented in doing gymnastics but not hardworking enough, so she needs some prodding. Huang Huei-Mei was also not born with excellent conditions in doing gymnastics, but she has been practicing very hard since she was little.

In early September of this year (2017), Lai Jin and Huang Zih-Sing were selected to the Artistic Gymnastics Training Team under the Elite Athletes Cultivation Program of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, which will be funded with NT$20 million by Lin Hong-Dow, president of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee. The training team aims to tap talents who have the potential to win medals from young gymnasts aged 8-18 in order to prepare for Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

To congratulate the gymnasts and coach for their good results, Director of the Education Department Li Wun-Liang and President of Kinmen Athletic Association Tang Li-Huei paid a special visit to the gymnastics competition venue. Coach Liang expressed her gratitude to the Kinmen County Government, Education Department, Stadium and Kinmen Athletic Association for their support.

According to Kinmen County Government, gymnastics is one of the key sports encouraged by Kinmen County. After the Kinmen County Gymnastics Hall officially opened, many talented gymnasts have been nourished and won many medals in the National High School Games and the National Artistic Gymnastics Championship. If the hall needs any improvements, the Kinmen County Government and Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee will provide assistance to get the improvements done.
